{ Conversations with Strangers }
When I felt the most lonely and understood by those most close to me I somehow still felt connected with the world through strangers. In my conversations either on the streets, bars, the person next to me on the plane or the cab driver, I was able to find a missing piece of intimacy that I could not always find in conversations with folks I did know. Backwards, I know, but it’s also what it so natural to start photographing in the documentary/ street/ reportage real, which grew into a deep fascination of people and portrait photography. Conversations with strangers over the years is what likely has kept me going. Every time I discover that we’re all going through the same things— the desire to love and be loved, to see and be seen and to live and to have lived.
